1. General Terms
By joining the AroundManchester.com™ Event Specialists Directory, event specialists agree to these terms and conditions. AroundManchester.com™ is operated by Tsunagi Limited, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 16808727).
2. Eligibility
- Both sole traders and registered businesses may join the directory.
- Event specialists must be at least 18 years old.
- All event management services must be legal in the United Kingdom.
- Relevant event management qualifications or demonstrable professional experience is preferred.
3. Insurance
- Mandatory: Public liability insurance is required for all listed event specialists.
- Proof of valid insurance must be provided before listing goes live.
- Insurance must cover the type and scale of events managed.
- Insured event specialists will receive a visible verification badge on their listing.
- Lapsed insurance policies must be renewed promptly or the listing may be suspended.
4. Health & Safety
- Event specialists must comply with all relevant health and safety legislation.
- Risk assessments must be conducted for all events where applicable.
- Appropriate first aid provision must be arranged for larger events.
- Fire safety and emergency evacuation plans must be in place for venue-based events.
- Events involving food must comply with food hygiene regulations.
5. Licensing & Permits
- Event specialists are responsible for ensuring all necessary licences and permits are obtained.
- This includes (but is not limited to) premises licences, temporary event notices (TENs), and road closure orders.
- Events involving the sale of alcohol must have appropriate licensing in place.
- Events involving live or recorded music must comply with licensing requirements.
6. Listing Information
- All information provided must be accurate and not misleading.
- Pricing must be clearly stated or marked as “contact for quote.”
- Portfolio images must represent genuine past events organised by the listed specialist.
- Event types and specialisms must accurately reflect current capabilities.
7. Client Engagement
- AroundManchester.com™ facilitates connections but does not manage bookings or contracts.
- All contracts are between the event specialist and client directly.
- Event specialists must respond to enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Cancellation and refund policies must be clearly communicated to clients before engagement.
- Deposits and payment terms are at the event specialist’s discretion but must be transparent.
8. Content Guidelines
- Profile content must be appropriate for all ages viewing the directory.
- All age friendly details and content.
- No content promoting illegal activities or discrimination.
- AroundManchester.com™ reserves the right to edit or remove inappropriate content prior to publishing.
9. Testimonials
- Testimonials are provided by the event specialist and verified before publishing.
- Fake or misleading testimonials are prohibited.
- Testimonials that cannot be verified will not be listed.
10. Limitation of Liability
- AroundManchester.com™ acts as a directory platform only.
- We do not employ or represent any listed event specialists.
- We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or conduct of any event specialist or their events.
- All disputes are between the event specialist and client.
- AroundManchester.com™ is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss arising from any event management service.
11. Data Protection
- Event specialist data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Contact details may be visible to potential clients.
- Client data obtained through enquiries must be handled in compliance with UK GDPR.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
