What is a Hunter?

Hunters are our network of referral partners who help connect local businesses with AroundManchester.com. If you know business owners in Greater Manchester and beyond, you can earn money by introducing them to our directory.

It's simple: you set up meetings between us and business owners. If that business onboards and their listing goes live, you get paid. No sales experience required – just connections and enthusiasm for supporting local businesses.

How It Works

  1. Apply to Become a Hunter

Submit your application with your details. We'll review and get back to you within a few business days.

  2. Connect With Business Owners

Speak to business owners you know in your area who might benefit from being listed on the directory.

  3. Arrange a Meeting

Set up a meeting time slot. We organise locality-based meetings where multiple appointments are scheduled back-to-back in a given area (e.g., five meetings in Hale within a one-hour window).

  4. Attend and Verify

At the meeting, if the business owner agrees to onboard, we'll capture your details (name, contact, and bank information) in person.

  5. Get Paid

Once the business listing goes live on the directory, your bounty is paid directly to your UK bank account via bank transfer.

Payment Details

  • Current Bounty: £25 per successful listing
  • After 1,000 Directory Joins: Bounty increases to £50 per listing
  • Maximum Payout: £50 per business (flat rate – no additional bonus for second venues or add-ons)
  • Payment Method: UK bank transfer only
  • Payment Timing: Paid once the listing goes live on the directory
  • Referral Limit: Unlimited – there's no cap on how many businesses you can refer

Eligibility Requirements

To become a Hunter, you must meet the following requirements:

Right to Work in UK

You must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.

Age 18+

You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in the Hunter programme.

Valid ID Required

You must present your National Insurance card and valid Passport or other legal form of ID at meetings for identity verification.

UK Bank Account

Payments are made via UK bank transfer only. You must have a valid UK bank account in your own name – third-party accounts are not accepted.

No Business Association

You cannot claim a bounty for a business you own, work for, or are otherwise associated with. The business owner cannot claim the Hunter bounty for their own listing.

Reliable Attendance

Hunters with excessive no-shows may be removed from the programme, as missed meetings waste valuable time slots for solid leads.

Important Terms

  • Bounties are only paid once a business listing goes live – not at the point of meeting or agreement.
  • If the business owner declines to onboard, no payment is made, but you're welcome to continue referring other businesses.
  • Your personal details and bank information are captured in person at meetings only when a business agrees to onboard. You will need to present your National Insurance card and valid Passport or other legal form of ID for verification.
  • The bounty is a flat rate per business, regardless of the service tier or add-ons the business purchases.
  • We reserve the right to remove Hunters from the programme for excessive no-shows, unprofessional conduct, or violation of these terms.
  • All payments are subject to standard UK tax regulations. You are responsible for declaring any earnings to HMRC via Self Assessment.
