Tradespeople Directory Terms & Conditions
1. General Terms
By joining the AroundManchester.com™ Tradespeople Directory, tradespeople agree to these terms and conditions. AroundManchester.com™ is operated by Tsunagi Limited, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 16808727).
2. Eligibility Requirements
- Business Registration: Serious tradespeople only. Must be a limited company registered with Companies House.
- Insurance: Public liability insurance of minimum £2,000,000 is mandatory.
- Professional Indemnity: Required for trades where advice affects outcomes (architects, surveyors, etc.).
- Trade Certifications: Current certifications required where mandatory (Gas Safe, Part P, etc.).
- Proof of all insurance and certifications must be provided before listing approval.
3. Project Documentation
- Tradespeople agree to allow documentation of their projects for listing purposes.
- Property owner consent is obtained by AroundManchester.com™ before documentation.
- All project claims will be verified with the property owner or their representative.
- False or misleading project claims will result in immediate removal from the directory.
4. Pricing & Fees
- Membership fee: £250+VAT annually.
- Project listing fee: £100+VAT per documented project.
- Payment is required before listing activation.
- Membership is non-refundable once activated.
- All prices are subject to change; current prices apply at time of renewal.
5. Listing Information
- All pricing information (call-out, hourly rates, etc.) must be accurate and current.
- Service areas and availability must be truthfully represented.
- Contact information must be monitored during stated contact hours.
- Changes to services or pricing must be updated within 7 days.
6. Quality Standards
- Tradespeople must maintain professional standards in all customer interactions.
- Work must be completed to relevant industry standards and building regulations.
- Complaints will be investigated and may result in listing suspension.
- Multiple verified complaints may result in permanent removal.
7. External Reviews & Links
- Links to external review platforms (Yelp, Google, etc.) must be to genuine business profiles.
- Trade body memberships must be current and verifiable.
- AroundManchester.com™ is not responsible for content on external platforms.
8. Limitation of Liability
- AroundManchester.com™ acts as a directory platform only.
- We do not employ or subcontract tradespeople.
- All contracts for work are between the tradesperson and customer directly.
- AroundManchester.com™ is not liable for the quality, cost, or outcome of any work.
- Disputes between tradespeople and customers are the parties’ responsibility.
9. Data Protection
- Tradesperson data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Contact details displayed on listings may be used by potential customers.
- Customer data obtained through the platform must be handled in compliance with UK GDPR.
10. Termination
- AroundManchester.com™ may remove listings that violate these terms.
- Tradespeople may cancel membership with 30 days notice; no pro-rata refunds.
- Project listings remain visible after membership ends unless removal is requested.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
