What is an Agent?
Agents are our contracted representatives who work directly with businesses in their assigned districts. Unlike Hunters who receive one-time bounties, Agents earn ongoing commission on all transactions from their contacts.
Agents are personally selected and appointed. They represent AroundManchester.com professionally, building relationships with local business owners and helping them get the most from their directory listings.
Agent Benefits
20% Commission
Earn 20% on all work including initial listings, add-ons, and any follow-on transactions such as additional venues.
District Exclusivity
You're assigned specific districts for a six-month period. All joins within your districts during your assignment are yours.
Transition Protection
When district assignments change, there's a two-week transition period. Sign-ups during this window remain with you unless specifically allocated to the incoming agent.
Uncapped Earnings
There's no limit to how much you can earn. The more businesses you help onboard, the more commission you receive.
How Commission Works
- Commission Rate: 20% flat rate on all qualifying transactions
- Initial Listings: 20% of the service fee when the listing goes live
- Add-Ons: 20% of any additional services purchased (extra 360 scenes, gallery expansions, etc.)
- Follow-On Transactions: 20% if a client adds a second venue
- Renewals: 20% if you or a newly assigned agent handles the renewal with the client. If the client renews independently without agent involvement, no commission is paid. This ensures agents are rewarded for actively maintaining client relationships.
- Payment Timing: Paid once the listing or service goes live
- Payment Method: UK bank transfer only
- Tax Responsibility: All payments are subject to standard UK tax regulations. You are responsible for declaring any earnings to HMRC via Self Assessment.
District Assignment
- Agents are assigned specific Manchester districts for a six-month period
- All business sign-ups within your assigned districts during your assignment period earn you commission
- When assignments change, there's a two-week transition window where sign-ups remain with the outgoing agent (unless specifically allocated to the new agent)
- Each agent maintains a shared tracking spreadsheet to record contacts, meeting dates, and sign-up status
Eligibility Requirements
Agents must meet the same requirements as Hunters, plus additional criteria:
UK Citizen
You must be a UK citizen with the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
Age 18+
You must be at least 18 years of age to become an Agent.
Valid ID Required
You must present your National Insurance number card and valid passport for identity verification.
UK Bank Account
Payments are made via UK bank transfer only. You must have a valid UK bank account in your own name – third-party accounts are not accepted.
Professional Conduct
Agents represent AroundManchester.com directly. Professional conduct, reliability, and excellent communication are essential.
